About STE
Stewardship Through Education is the educational program of the Mother Lode Land Trust, whose mission is to promote youth stewardship of local watersheds through closely coordinated programs and activities with a variety of community partners, participating schools, agencies, organizations, cities, and counties.
Our educators lead three unique program that provides hands-on science and social science education in the outdoors. Along with outdoor field experiences, STE has an extensive Lending Library of educational tools, equipment, curriculums, and kits for teachers in the classroom or organizations to enhance their outdoor experience.
STE’s services extend into the planning and arrangement of field experiences much like a travel agent (making contacts, setting up transportation, etc.) taking the time and hassle out of arranging for a field experience.
Staff
STE has developed a staff of ten, including education consultants, naturalists, and Native American specialists.
Mother Lode Land Trust Mission
